I think a positive mental attitude is all to important. This varies from person to person. Personally speaking no matter what was happening to me I would not categorize my life position as "when the chips are down". I would be thinking more positively as life can be like a wild tiger, I can either law down and let its claws rip me to shreds, or I can get up on its back and ride it.
