Yes..we do have a lot of obese people...but we must blame the manufacturers of food for this..

More and more salt..sugar...MSG?

I work in food manufacturing..and the simple reason is..that after a long exposure to a certain amount of salt.people can no longer taste it and write letters of complaint to the source..

Children certainly are getting fatter..and unhealthier..that is because you cannot let them play in the street nowadays...they have never been exposed to ''dirt''..have never made a mud pie..or shared an ice cream with the dog!!..

I agree with you lilac. Someday they'll be addicted to an over 50's forum & still never be exposed to dirt except what gets dished out here

The stupid PC brigade??..who got us into this crap to start with..Loaded the guns..gave the opposition the bullets to shoot us with??

We could be more sensitive to other's plights and on the subject of sinking here in Somerset. I usually am the one to point out how offensive some remarks are, glad to see someone else pointing out thoughtless comments.

Now, I'll sit back & wait for the backlash!
