Lanzarote Airport Wine Tasting Promotion
A campaign ,thanks to the collaboration between the Consejo Regulador and Canariensis, is now on at Guacimeta Airport to publicise local wines to visitors from the Mainland and other countries.
Lanzarote wines now have ,once again, an ideal showcase to travellers thanks to the collaboration between Canariensis and the Council of Lanzarote, (Consejo Regulador de la Denominación de Origen).
After great results obtained earlier in the year, with the first joint promotion campaign the tasting resumes. This second promotional drive began on Tuesday and was attended by representatives of the participating wineries, Rafael Morales and Nereida Perez, President and Secretary of the regulatory Council, and Félix Lafulla, Store Manager of Canariensis.
The campaign began on 21st March, coinciding with Easter, in order to take advantage of increased airport traffic.
Local Lanzarote wines recently were awarded in total five medals at the Bacchus International Wine competition, with Gold medals going to Bodega El Grifo for their Malvasia Seco and their sweet Moscatel Ana. Bodega Vulcano for their Vulcano Dolce. Silver medals were awarded to Bodega La Grieta for their Malvasia Volcanica, and to El Grifo for their barrel fermented Malvasia
