The Round Tower

I got engrossed in a TV film called 'The Round Tower' that was on the 'Yesterday' channel on Sunday. When Mrs mart came in and told me it was a Catherine Cookson novel, I was quite surprised.

I've never read anything by Catherine Cookson. I always thought the stories would be too based on romance for me. Well, the 3 hour drama had plenty of romance and sex in it but also lots else. I found it thoroughly enjoyable.

I might have to watch some other Catherine Cookson dramatisations to see if 'The Round Tower' was a one-off.
