Re: The best film ever made ?
I agree BM. It is a masterpiece. It's been showcased here before and I get the impression that it is, by no means, a popular favourite here. To each their own but it is my favourite along with the original Day of the Jackal and anything with Cate Blanchett. My wife, son and I have watched Shawshank probably seven times ?.. maybe more.Re: The best film ever made ?
Re: The best film ever made ?
Shawshanks is good I will give you that, so many good movies out there but the one that I keep returning to when I am sitting and a little down is You Got Mail great actors great storyline good music and there's always a tear in my eye at the end plus I can finish a large bottle of fizzy stuff and loads of quavers and various crinkley crisps whilst watching.Re: The best film ever made ?

I found it interesting that warden "Hadley" , is spite of his professed Christianity, was the ultimate evil. Ironically, far more evil than any of the inmates. A half dozen times during the film, warden "Hadley" made reference to his Christianity.
