And could I just stress how important it is to make sure there is always unfrozen water for them to drink and bathe in. It is just as important as food.

Each morning i fill the kettle up and boil it then empty the frozen bird bath re fill with cold water, within a short while its frozen again?

We feed our birds with a mixture of broken up fat balls, digestive biscuits ,Niger seed,peanuts and they love it we also have hangers of fatballs and peanuts, we are having trouble with water for them though as it freezes as you watch it...
Birds that come to eat in outr garden are :- Blue tits, Coal tits, Long tailed tits (I love these) Great tits, Robin, Blackbirds , Song Thrush, Collared Doves, Wood pigeons, Jays , Magpies, Nut hatch, Dunnock and sparrows... We really are lucky in the amount of different species we have around here...
