Re: The Budget.

Well the good news is they have my start date of 2004, one of my queries (old place of work before this last one). Bad news is it can take up to 3 months!

Blimmin eck. She did say they try to deal with them as quick as they can. So. I shan't be looking at the post so eagerly for quite a while then.

Think I'll stay with my occupational pension.
Bit confused here - my Tax Code for 2014 - 2015 is already stated as £10,000 per year before Taxation - I'm sure of that but I'll check it now in case I've got it wrong.

As I don't have any Pension Funds tied-up this budget has little for me except the already-forecasted petrol freeze, which I don't have any confidence with at the moment as I fully expect the price to go up for almost any reason, such as Russia exists or big bonuses in petro-chemicals are at risk or there no Y in the the feckin' month! stevmk2

Yes, that's right. It's 10,000 from 05 April 2014, rising to 10,500 from April 2015.

Re: The Budget.

The 'Granny Tax' soon forgotten on here then...strange how news gets old so quickly. Over sixty-fives were already getting £10500 personal tax relief until it was frozen a couple of years back. But of course, we're all in it together. I realise many on here aren't old enough to be affected yet, but one day you will be, and that small Churchill-granted tax advantage will have been lost for ever.
