Haatchi the Anatolia Shepherd
I am sure many people will remember the huge gentle giant 'Haatchi' who became the constant and loving companion to the little boy, Owen, with the genetic health problems.
Sadly, this beautiful, big hearted dog died earlier this month, of Cancer. Poor Owen must be heartbroken.
The story of this dog was that as a puppy, he was chained to a railway line. No one seems to know exactly why.
The train came, and it cut through the chains but also badly injured Haatchi, who managed to scurry away and hide.
He was seen many times over the next few days, but no one could catch him.
He was eventually caught but had lost a lot of blood. At the RSPCA hospital his back leg and tail could not be saved. Despite his agony, he still trusted people.
Was it chance, or fate that he ended up with Owen, the little boy in a wheelchair.
I like to believe it was fate, and they both needed each other to mend, heal, and love.
Be brave, Owen. R.I.P. Haatchi. x
