My brother was on TV

Last weekend, he's worked for Oxfam for 30 years all over the world, he's always in the worst disaster areas and he's in Indonesia just now, he said on TV that travel is very difficult there, a journey that normally took 35 minutes now takes 10 hours.

Ian's worked really hard in the worst areas like Rwanda during the genocide in Africa a few years ago but I aint seen him in 30 years, I would never have recognised him as he's changed so much it was his name I recognised.

Your brother is a wonderful man, Nero ...... I have every respect for those who work and risk their own lives in the disaster areas.

That must have been a surprise for you. I so admire people who do this sort of work helping others.

Re: My brother was on TV

He's actually an engineer to trade but in his 20's him and his pal went round the world to see it so to speak.

He was horrified at the way 3rd world people live and how short of things they were that we take for granted, this struck a cord in him and he gave up the easy life to devote his life to others.

Good lad is our Ian, he has my respect.

The only time he's been back that I know of is for dad's funeral and that was many years ago.

Well done Nero's bro! Wish there were more compassionate people like him around!
