I remember when my parents first had a phone, we were on a party line with a family over the road, it wouldn't work with everyone on the internet would it! Phone boxes are almost obsolete these days.
I remember when we used to take back the bottles for the deposit on them, 3d if I remember correctly, we were recycling way back then, they probably were sterilised and re-used, these days they would melt them down!
And if it was bitterly cold, it would freeze and rise up out of the bottle with the cap perched on top!!
Did anyone have a real ice box, with ice delivery? You'd put a sign in the window "20 pounds" or whatever, and the deliveryman brought it in huge tongs!!
One thing I do remember all too well, was some yukky malt stuff my mum insisted we all take every morning...It was thick gungy stuff, she said it was good for us!!!!

I remember the malt, Moli ...... I was 3 and in hospital with pneumonia at the time and the nurses used to give me a big spoonful of it every morning ...... I loved it!
