Re: Xmas Cards Hand Made

I love home made cards although I used to get the children to make them. Good use of a rainy Sunday and the relatives loved them.

These days I often create photo Christmas cards. Last years was a reflection of us in a bauble..

Re: Xmas Cards Hand Made

Hand-made cards is another craft that Mrs mart does. It started off with Christmas cards but she now makes all the cards that go out from here. Births, deaths, marriages, anniversaries etc.

She watches Create and Craft television a lot and gets some of her ideas from there. Sometimes orders materials and the card-making tools they demonstrate.

Re: Xmas Cards Hand Made

I started making cards as a bet. A friend sent me one, I commented on how lovely it was, she said "you could do it", I said I couldn't, she said I bet you could, and well, the rest is history

Re: Xmas Cards Hand Made

I really ought to try again, as well as the satisfaction of doing it, I found it nice and therapeutic as well.

I get asked for an opinion on every card made. They really are good. Some open out like boxes or in different shapes. The trouble is that I see so many that I just say, "That's very good" but without the enthusiasm or admiration they ought to get.

I design and print the middles (inserts) for the cards that need them.
