You couldn’t make it up
Even if you wanted too..
From the BBC,
The Labour official at the centre of an anti-Semitism row has resigned from the party's ruling committee.
Christine Shawcroft said her membership of the NEC had "become a distraction for the party and an excuse for endless intrusive media harassment of myself, my family and friends".
The row erupted after it emerged she had opposed the suspension of a council candidate accused of Holocaust denial.Ms Shawcroft will be replaced on the NEC by comedian Eddie Izzard.
How many comedians can one party have on its front bench ?
We have Jeremy who does a great stand up on how there is no racism in the party..and we all remember that great line about being the PM soon
Diane who does a great number (sorry) about finances and how many police she can buy for a few bob,
And now Eddie.. I look forward to seeing this new act even though it’s a tad early for pantomime.
