Re: The Island Victoria Hislop
I too have just read it (in Rhodes which was very fitting being a Greek island). I recently started as Head of Marketing & PR for the Leprosy Mission so felt this would be a good introduction to the issue. Over and above that it's a good book as it deals so sympathetically with such difficult issues whilst painting a vivid picture of life for leprosy affected people and their neighbours during the War in Crete.Re: The Island Victoria Hislop
Yes I've read most of Mr. T's books. I admit to grudgingly liking them although not actually a fan of his, I know he knows his stuff but he's much too smug for my liking. His books are good though, the right amount of humour and insight into making it a very good holiday or bedtime read.Re: The Island Victoria Hislop
