Re: Coffee drinkers.

Coffee is the elixir of life. I drink 5-6 mugs a day, so it's good news on the Parkinson's front. Doesn't keep me awake either! I can have a strong coffee just before bed and I'll still sleep like a baby.

I love Coffee, prefer Black Columbia strength 5 beans which I ground myself.
Coffee machine in my study is on most days supplying me with thinking energy.

Tea, I prefer weakish, my wife loves it when you need a knife to taste it.

Re: Coffee drinkers.

My first waking thought is strong, black coffee but I switch to decaf green or peppermint tea in the afternoon.

Re health benefits, my dad read years ago that coffee drinkers have a better recovery from strokes. Can't recall the source for that.

I am also a coffee drinker, but de-caf now, have the odd real cup if I am out and about and spot a nice coffee shop!

Re: Coffee drinkers.

We tend to drink coffee mid morning, just as a treat. We use the Nescafe cappucino sachets rather than a machine, which really only boils the water anyway. Sometimes I add a spoon of instant for a better hit, but the only thing Better Half likes to add is a croissant!

I'm another Nescafe cappuccino (unsweetened) drinker I've just bought a 1kg container (80 cups) from Amazon ..... great bargain too!

We have just bought a job lot from Tesco, who had the sachets on offer at "buy one get two free". Works out at 8pence per cup. Filled the cupboard...

Re: Coffee drinkers.

I drink tea at home and one cup of coffee per trip to McDonald's or any other restaurant. I actually have a brand new coffee pot I bought for my apartment 16 months ago. It still has the warranty paperwork in the decanter. It's never been plugged in.
