tumble dryer advice please

My kitchen is small , and the space for a dryer is about 8ft from a window so don't want one with a hose or I'll be climbing over it . I've got around £150 to spend on it . What's my best choice ?

Many thanks

There are some makes which are inherently unsafe, and have been igniting when unattended. Suggest you do a bit of Googling as well

Buy a condenser dryer then you wont have a hose. You might be able to buy one on Gumtree from someone in your local area? As i think there a little bit dearer than the normal ones..

Hi

I have an AEG Condensor, it is brilliant, but they aren't cheap.

The cheapest way of getting one is either ebay, graded goods or a local graded goods supplier.

Mine was damaged, it had a dent in one side and a scratch on the other, still with full guarantee and had it for 8 years.

Got a condenser so no hose only advice I will give is don't get a sensor one they may cost less to run but they don't dry as well as a conventional one. Cupboard dry appears to be what I would call wet

Re: tumble dryer advice please

I think you will need to get a condenser dryer Susan and it could well difficult to find one for £150. (Course you could wait for the sales and possibly find one then). The condensing dryer is more expensive than the vented ones and I wouldn't risk a second hand one. A new one would probably start at about £199, but, of course, you would have a warranty. Also, it is best to get one with the water container sited on the top part of the fascia, rather than at the bottom - makes it a lot easier to empty IMO. Hotpoint dryers start off at £199 and are not a bad buy.
