Border Security UK

Hi

A damning report on just how ineffective our border security is.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34988913

It is less secure than many other countries with less money than the UK and is basically down to the incompetence of Civil Servants and Politicians.

It seems there are plenty of funds available to build bombs and missiles which are used in pointless exercises but when it comes to what should be our prime objective, the protection of our own borders that takes second place.

Yes swim.
Now tell us something we don't know!
But nevertheless an interesting read.
ISIS and immigrants entering the country will be laughing their little cotton socks off reading that!

Saying 'We know, we know, we know, you thick English blastards!'

Meg.
I am at the start of my day.
Please stop winding me up and hissing me off with very perceptive observations such as that!

Well now, here's a job you can undertake which will keep you occupied and perhaps a little safer for a while - rebuilding Uffa's dyke!!!

Re: Border Security UK

My son had finished his work contract in the USA for a company and returned his work visa. At the airport he was questions for a considerable time as to why he was leaving the USA and surrendered his visa. Their Customs officials didn't believe him until they contacted the company he was working for.
They go over the top with security almost to being neurotic about it, I think we could take a tip from them.

Our first trip to Brazil we were asked questions as to the reason for the visit and they checked to see if family was outside waiting for us.
Second time we were asked if we had been to Brazil before and we said yes. A quick look on their computer and we were waved straight through. The record must have cleared us as ok.
