We just got a new aeg dishwasher and i love it. Ideally, i would have two, so that i never had to empty them - i'd just use one for storage till it was empty, then fill it with mucky plates and use the other for storage, and so ad infinitem.
Now that is a brilliant thought!

No dishwasher here, we did have one for a while but when it died we decided I do a better less costly job than that ever did.

I think our dishwasher does an excellent job, the dishes are cleaner than washed by hand. I always rinse them before putting them in the dishwasher, which we put on every two or three days as there are only two of us at home.

I think because I bake and make a lot of casseroles etc the machines just don't do a good scrubbing job of it, needs elbow grease and a pan scourer !

On the rare occasions I do any serious baking, I wash those dishes out by hand.
