Good morning, no rain here but a heavy sky and a chill in the air. October has certainly arrived.Both myself and my daughter got married in October and October is the month of my Mother, MIL and brother's birthday.
Val hope you enjoy seeing your family while on your cruise and hope the weather is kind.

Afternoon all, we were up earlyish this morning to see us sailing through the Dardenelles, land on both sides of the ship, weather a bit cool and breezy, and it was a bit too misty to make good photo's. Not long after it turned to rain, while we were at line dancing - this was cut short as they wanted the room we were using to conduct a memorial service (Crimean war) which should have taken place on deck. We have an Archdeacon on board who takes religious services, quite a chatty man, we have shared table with him and his wife a couple of times.This morning we played ring toss, which Brian won, then later the weather improved and we went on deck and played Killer darts which I won again much to my amazement.
Had decorations up for an on deck lunchtime BBQ, greek theme and they were handing out glasses of ouzo, I've tried it before - too strong for me!!
Been ballroom dancing this afternoon (more men than than ladies myrtle,) then went to play deck quoits.
It's now 5.30pm and we are approaching Istanbul, a narrow part going into the black sea. Nice weather at present time.
