As JBR mentioned about long term memory , mine is really good I can recall conversations , situations , so very clearly yet I can't remember what I did yesterday , maybe I will in 10 years time . Also I may be chatting about something interesting and suddenly the next sentence evaporates from.my brain I forget what I was saying .

Repeating myself is another issue I tell my friends to stop me if I've already told them . They tell.me not to worry because they would have forgotten anyway
