I was painfully shy as a youngster
I'm a lot better now but still s bit withdrawn sometimes
Especially with new people.
One trick I learnt over the years...
If I ask a lot of questions then other people have to do the talking

I have a pal who rings me regularly, but whatever he asks me he never listens to the answer, or anything I tell him come to think of it.
