Lovely weather in the SW but I've spent the day painting inside. I must get my schedule sorted.

Not had rain since forever....no storms, just glorious sunshine throughout..phew, all hot and bothered weather

No thunder but it's raining now in North Staffs ... with a nice refreshing breeze.
Mind, it's coaxed the slugs and snails out. The garden is infested with em'.

Went inland earlier today fine at first but humid. Then the skies darkened and the thunder started. Hopped the bus home, but the storm was following swiftly on our heels, just managed to stay ahead of it.

My garden is a flitting about paradise for damselflies the last few days. I love watching them flitting about over the pond coupled up and depositing on the leaves.
Even landing on the bushes in the flower bed.
They like to land on me too and today I was having a cuppa and one landed on my hand which was holding the mug.

Another thing. a crow was squawking up above and a funny sort of growling noise was heard at the same time. As I looked up a crow was seeing a heron off. My next door neighbour heard them too and shouted 'yea, go on, see him off!'

No sign of rain here in the south-west Nom ..... the temperature outdoors at 9:40pm is still a humid 19ºC, going to be an uncomfortably hot night I think.

Spike Milligan said something like, "While Australia freezes in its 60' of winter England swelters in its 60' of summer".

It's 22'C here today and I am cold - I'm wearing long strides, thermals and a pullover. The low humidity has a lot to do with it.

26 degrees is hot? Give me a break! I don't even wear shorts for that!
