You really are being a bit mean aren't You?
It is completely enough to read the headline "Barnier sidelined..." and ignore the rest of the (as usual high quality express article).
It seems this piece of information is quite enough for the non-EU posters in this thread.
Ok, irony off again.
There is not a single bit of sidelining mentioned in the article...
Let me ask You one personal question please. Please do not get me wrong, I do not want to be rude but You are spending so much time answering posts from ignorant persons in this forum. Why are You doing that?
Best regards...
Hi 7779311,
Although I've been a civil servant for over 20 years, at heart I'm still a scientist. Facts matter for me as such. In all my years as advisor I always told younger collegues: don't repeat what somebody else told you, always go to the original source and check. Because if you repeat others, and it turns out to be wrong, the blame is on you, not on those others.
On this forum, officially the rule is that your statement must be accompanied by a link, so others can easily go to the root source. Many don't or cite newspaper headings, like you say in your post.
I have no difficulty with an opinion, everybody is entitled to have them. But some here present arguments that are (their own) opinions. The moment he or she refuses to provide a link, you know their argument was in fact a lie, intended to deceive other visitors of this forum. By doing so they degrade themselves, but more important, they degrade this forum's standing and everyone posting there.
There is nothing wrong with discussing opinions, but you should be honest enough to provide the facts that convinced you, so these facts can convince others. That's a debate.
