I am just wondering why ?
I know parents don"t like to leave their children.
Just won"t it be a lot for the children to cope with, especially Charlotte ?
It never hurt Wiliam any when Charles and Diana took him to Australia when he was a baby.

Where were the bloody dingoes when you needed them?

Good question.
So far dingoes are one of the few native species not threatened by those rotten feral cats.
Indeed, in some areas, dingo numbers are actively cultivated as a means of cat-control.

Back to "Where's Willy".

Then there are those who want to kill and export Dingos to the Chinese for human consumption.

Re: George & Charlotte

I would suggest that "those" would be precious few.
I know of one University of Queensland researcher who has raised it as a hypothetical.
Would welcome any evidence that support for such a program is anywhere approaching widespread.

The fact
is that even the sale of dog meat in Australia is illegal, let alone export.
And it's pretty hard to see the Australian Federal Parliament enacting legislation which would permit it.
Would hardly be a vote-winner.

That said - and here we go - numbers of pure dingoes in Aus are decreasing whilst the overall number which have crossed with domestic/feral dogs is increasing.
And becoming a major threat to commercial cattle, sheep, goats, fowls etc.
As well as to native wildlife.
Not as bad as cats - but still.

IF those cross-breeds could be targetted without endangering the purebreds, quite frankly, I would have little problem with an export industry.
Meat is meat. Billions of Asians need to be fed.
And more of our native and commercial stocks might survive.
