I'm not bothered unless the cutlery is obviously dirty, we do need to build up a resistance to germs. Also I don't think that antibacterial handwash stuff is good for you, I only use it if for instance there's no water available to wash your hands. I can't think it's good to ingest it from cleaning cutlery.
Well we have been using hand wipes for years and its not done us any harm, more harm would be if you picked up a bug from not cleaning.
Likely so, I don't like chemicals myself and the hand gels always give me dermatitis so I avoid them a good bar or bottle of soap and water for hands is best IMO and a little detergent and water for dishes and cutlery.
This thread has made me feel better that we never eat out, mixture of OCD from my husband and extreme allergies from me so we cook everything ourselves from scratch. But reading this has made me feel I am not missing out at all
