I had arranged to go the gym with one of my friends tonight and I have rang her and told her I can't go feeling like I do and she is giving me a hard time about me not going. For some reason she is taking it personal that it's something to do with her. I've had this problem with this friend before
and I'm fed up of it. Why do some people have to make it all about them!!!!
I always understand if any of my friends have to cancel things at last minute, chit happens.
sorry for sounding off but thanks for listening, I needed to get that off my fingers and bash the keys on my keyboard
LQ,
I sympathise with what you say, but (there's always a but) I ask you to have a little compassion for the friend.
What's happening in a person's mind, especially if they are experiencing a horror that they never had before, can make them a little more focussed on themselves, and not so much on the sufferings of others.
Sometimes they are so wound up that they don't know the right words to use with the person who has the problem.
How do I know this?
Well, I was once in a ward full of men who had experienced a heart attack in the last day or so.
During the night someone's alarm would go off, as their heart went out of control, and woke everyone up.
There were those who would get up and shout at the nurse to get her to switch the B thing off. "I can't sleep, I can't sleep"
Then other alarms would start, due to the excitement.
By 2 am the nurses were almost calling the cops.
It was chaos.
In the morning, everyone was friends again as they were packing for home, albeit looking very sheepish!.
The moral of my tale?
I'll leave that to you.
Hope you are all well again now!
