Lovely here today and forecast good for next few days I feel some BBQs coming on so off to Sauinsburys soon to get some bits

It's been roasting here again, but the wind is once more whipping up and the doors are rattling, cooling the evening down now.

At least I've been able to have a little sit in the sunshine this afternoon, which is a rarity for me.

I know this isnt strictly about the weather but we have been over run with flies this week since the sun came out A site which was a glass recycling plant has changed over to some other recycling place & they are dumping something there which is attracting flies. Its not very far from our house so all the area are complaining about it. We havent been able to sit outside all week as we keep getting bombarded with the things & the house is full of them as well. There is 4 crawling all over the TV at the moment
Hubby phoned the Envioronmental Health this morning & they had had over 600 complaints since Tuesday The firm have been told to clear the site by today but the flies have been worse than ever today - whether its because they are disturbing them I dont know. Horrible dirty thngs

Aye, the hot weather can have its disadvantages, and flies are one of them.

I do hope the site is cleared soon Lynne, then you'll be able to sit out in peace, provided the weather stays fine, that is.

Over this past week I've been able to leave my balcony door in the lounge open, the window in my bedroom open and the connecting door between my lounge and my bedroom open. Although my c/h is not switched on, my room thermostat in my lounge still records the temperature. Last night, notwithstanding there was a nice breeze blowing, my room thermostat never went below 22 o C.

It's very hot here and evidently we are on red alert re heat, we are getting August temperatures and it isn't even June yet.

My son is in Spain at the moment on his holidays, somewhere near Malaga. Glad its him and not me, cant stand the heat these days.Its sunny outside this morning, hope its not as hot as yesterday.

Just give it time Annie darlin' - give it time and watch the thermometer climb.
