I've had a muzzy head today......I know why now!We have had thunderstorms this afternoon.
The lightening lit up the room and the first roll of thunder nearly had me off my chair, the rain was so heavy we could barely see down the garden.
My only tulip, bright red...is still standing
but the magnolia tree is bare of blossom

Shame you lost your magnolia annie...you could buy a small one to go in a pot, though you'd have to shelter it for winter, just a thought
Quite cold and overcast here but hopefully it will brighten and warm up by this afternoon, I'd like to do a bit of gardening

Despite the dreadful weather in many parts of the UK, including heaving rains and flooding, today (Wednesday) was amazingly hot. I'd dressed to go to work in a jumper and trousers, but I was lathered all day as it was too hot for those clothes.There have been some terrible tales in the news about people drowning in their cars in the floods down south, so I hope folk in all affected areas are taking care and staying safe.
