Re: Your weather

There was a bright orange moon at around 6.30 p.m. last night (Wed 08.02.12). It was gorgeous.

Another beautiful day with blue sky but a bit of a wind which was nippy. Can't complain though for this time of year!

Re: Your weather

We had frozen rain last night and the ground was just a sheet of ice, we needed milk so went to town and carried on and into hexham, where it was very foggy, we shopped in case we get the snow tomorrow.

I have just been out with Chloe and it is horrendous pitch black, no moon or stars and freezing rain is falling in sharp little arrows making it difficult to stand up. We went in the fields to avoid slipping over. It will no doubt turn to snow soon..

Re: Your weather

Woke up to a blanket of snow here this morning. Had plans to go out again today, but given the snow (and now ice - its -3oC here this morning) I'm going nowhere!!!: twisted:

Re: Your weather

Wise Uncle Joe, we took the same decision this morning after seeing sheet ice everywhere.
Wife cancelled her hair appointment and I didn't bother going to the gym.
There is no point in risking it when you are getting on a bit like us, one broken limb could ruin the rest of our lives.

Re: Your weather

My goodness that sounds dangerous on the roads and paths, yes best to stay at home if you can. We had our first bit of snow here in the night, all gone now, did look pretty in the garden though.

Re: Your weather

We had snow late last evening and there was a light covering over the garden and road. It had all but disappeared this morning but has just started to fall again now...
