A vaguely traumatic day here (nothing life-threatening) and at long last I am sitting down and relaxing and munching a crushed ginger bikkie with ice cream and some fruit.

I have a glass of merlot with my lunch most days . Sometimes I sip it while the lunch is cooking and the delicious smells waft through the house then I may just top it up when the food is ready . A friend called one lunchtime and I was sitting in front of the telly with my lunch on my knees drinking my glass of merlot , I honestly think she thinks I've got an issue with booze I could see the "drinking during the day " look on her face

Not allowed to drink these days but I did have a celebratory choc ice yesterday afternoon, sat in the garden, reading and waiting for my family to come come back from their bird watching walk.
