What I know about cars, you could print in block capitals on the back of a very small postage stamp - in blood !

But my 7-8 yo Rangie is getting tired and thirsty and expensive.
Thinking of scaling down - but to what ?
Ahhh - there's the question.

I don't need a real (tough) 4WD - no longer any plans to go off-road, along beaches, through mud or up mountains.
BUT .. it will have to go through a fair depth of water every now and then -
which I guess means an SUV of some kind to get the clearance.

Thinking maybe a Subaru Forester or Outback or a Landrover Freelander.
Other considerations are - ease of entry/exit and all the new you-beaut 'driver-assist' stuff as I age.

I think there's a Mazda which ticks these boxes as well.

Any ideas ?

I had an MX5, had a near death experience in it, you won't hear me rave about the handling.

Lovely I've always fancied an open top but dogs prevent it I hope you get out and have weather suitable all year !

I have always disliked open topped cars. I like my cars best I always buy the same model each year.
