Re: Retirement.

Congrats on your retirement, swimfeeders. Make sure you keep yourself busy with hobbies, things to do etc. My wife has recently gone back to work because she's bored!

Re: Retirement.

I took early retirement because of the stress of the job and then found that I couldn't cope without work! I went back to work as a volunteer with a national charity doing the same job. Ill health caused me to have to leave there but now I seem to be back to full health I'm looking for more voluntary work. I wonder when I'll feel happy just staying home?

Re: Retirement.

The worst thing l ever did was to retire! My ex partner had sold his companies for a lot of money, so there was never any reason for either of us to work again.
With hindsight, l wish l had kept working as l found my usually sharp, quick brain adapted to the slower life!
Having said that, l sometimes wonder where l got the time to work!!

Think not Floydy. All that trailing about, in all weathers, with a big foam hand is not my style. Been into town today and there were loads of quite obvious new visitors: the cameras are a bit of a give away. Good to see them though, but I think Parking will be a problem. Apparently Victoria Dock was jam packed last night which has caused a bit of friction among the residents there!

Re: Retirement.

Hi

Thank you all so much for your kind comments.

I have done absolutely nothing today, apart from watch daytime TV.

I won't be doing that again.

I will start decorating tomorrow, watching paint dry is better than daytime TV,
