Dogs are pack animals, they have a leader, which is the owner.
The pack leader needs to keep control. A dog will not turn or bite if the leader is in control. No excuses, if a dog bites or attacks it needs to go. We have had dogs for years and grandchildren, who have had rough and tumbles, none of our dogs have ever warned them off with a growl let alone bitten. And one of our dogs was a Staffie.
