Re: Friends Reunited
I went on it everyday so I am upset. I was on the retired group also.
We were very up to date with our posts on every subject going we also
became very good friends as the years went by.
At the beginning it was to research your school friends, then neighbours
and work mates.
It changed to make different subjects like being retired, fans of the Beatles, The Eagles, etc. It was like joining a club you liked.
The change for decline came about when they sold it to someone a few years ago as Bruce has mentioned. They stopped new people joining the
clubs that were flourishing and also made you put things into a BOX.
What that BOX was for I could never work out and that was the disaster.
As Bruce also said the upgrades they did were useless to a lot of people
as not everyone has the same PC or skill to manipulate their way through
technology.
I am really upset and cried yesterday when I heard about it. I have
managed to get most of the few left on the retired group to keep in
contact with., So hoping they will join us on here.
I do thank Friends for helping me in the beginning to find some school
friends I am now in contact with. My friend Christine who I lost contact
with when we were 15 and lives in the USA. Without it I probably
wouldn't have met her again. We still chat online and Skype so
really pleased about that and another friend Linda who lives in Leeds
still.
Genes Reunited is still going Rachel and I am a member of that too.
You have to pay for your information but if you want to give me a
name I will try and find them if you have an idea of their age and
where they were born. Not promising anything but will try.
