Re: Unwanted presents...

I had some lovely presents from family but a Secret Santa gift from work went straight to the charity shop, won't be taking part next year, that's for sure !!
Love buying for others and I really listen when they speak about everyday stuff, usually gives a clue as to what their little likes and dislikes are. They obviously don't do the same with me...

My daughters always buy me ONE present either a book, a DVD or a CD they want to read, watch or listen too. It's Christmas. I indulge them.

Well, you should have heard the din when she unwrapped them. And it certainly was not noises of delight.

One Christmas I asked her what she wanted for a present.
Nothing she said. Surprise me.
So I did surprise her. I got her nothing.
Now that was a BIG mistake.
Something similar with me. I got one the kids an iPad, the other one an iPhone and the wife an iRon. She went ballistic.

For some reason my Mum saw fit to buy me a can opener, its not fancy nor does it have bells and whistles, I'm still puzzled as to why she thought I needed a can opener. Other gifts she bought me were perfect, just this one oddity !

One of the kids bought me a Miranda CD for Xmas - it's great.

Just the job for stopping the dining table from rocking.

I always get vouchers for Boots and M&S. My husband bought me a bookcase - love it. I did get a box of Portmeirion coffee spoons which I will never use.
