..now let the cover fall over the duvet .
You make it sound so easy Meg, I've been struggling with my duvet for years! 
I think new duvets should come with instructions on their packets!

I always use the "inside out" method too, what intrigues me is that stuff you put in the washing machine with the duvet ends up inside it, then when you tumble dry it it all comes out again!Here's another way! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/good...-your-bed.htmlI have had to down-size to a single bed as my bedroom is smaller than my old one, I found a single duvet too small so I use a double one, this kept sliding off so I attached two tapes on corners on one side and two cuphooks on the bed base (wall side), tie it on & it doesn't slide off.
