I am a member of quite a few forums and there just isn't enough time in the day to visit all of them, so I really can go a long time before popping back and finding something to say. I just feel it better to jump straight in and make my post, and go off again.

I'm sure we all have our own reasons for a long absence. (Sorry, keep getting interrupted by lady in the lounge and can't think straight!!)

Its been a while I know but have I told you my best friend and former son-in-law Stephen died in August, well now his mother has died, she was 83, Lilly , a strong Midlands lady who had a very hard life, Stephen was her second son born with Spina Bifida. Stephen was married to my daughter Julie and was dad of my Grand daughter Sophie. 2013 was a dreadful year for us, or rather me as I miss him so much, we were kindred spirits.

Nice to hear from you again Annie (and you are still on my friends list). Sorry to hear you have lost loved ones in 2013 - lets hope 2014 will be better for you. I don't come on here as often as I used to, but I do like to pop in now and again to see whats' cooking.
