When growing early potatoes in my my raised bed I have a huge crops some years and hardly any others, I didn't grow any this year because of switching crops around .
Not a clue.
I was too late planting mine this year.
It's never too late to plant early potatoes. If you plant now, they will start cropping in about 6 weeks time. I once planted a couple of buckets with 3 early potatoes in each in mid-October and we had a lovely crop ready in time for Christmas. I had to move the buckets indoors when the first frosts arrived though.
