Contrary to Joseph Stalin's assertion that it is all down to the SNP, it is in fact the fault of all of our politicians since the Second World War.
Money has always 'talked', but our leaders in Victorian days seem to have put the country first. Today's equivalents seem more interested in trying to show how generous we can be to the most undeserving causes.
I shudder to think what this country will be like for our grandchildren. Fortunately, I don't have any.
