We always answer the phone if we recognise the number, otherwise we let it go to voice mail.

One of us always answers the phone. There are a few of our family who might need some quick help the moment.

I rarely answer the phone as I’m phone phobic

I took the house phone out because that ringing really stressed me as it was usually cold callers

If the name of the caller doesn’t come up on my mobile ie I don’t know them, they don’t answer

Friends know to text me or to call round

My closest friends and family all contact me on my mobile now so no..
I let it go to answer phone and if it's important they'll leave a message and I'll get back to them
But most of the time they hang up...So they must be cold callers
It gives me a better sense of satisfaction than hanging up even, knowing that they know, that I know, that they couldn't even get me to answer

If I don't recognise the number I don't answer, I figure if they want me badly enough they will leave a message.

There is nothing more annoying that people who never answer the phone .
My DIL never ever answers the phone even to her own mother .
It pisses everyone off .

I answer it, but put it down, is somebody is demanding payment.
