The sun is out now, and melting the overnight snow (about 2"). They have forecast more though, this afternoon and overnight tonight.

All snow now gone in this area. No problems on the M20 other than the usual queues at the slip road exits. It's a balmy +3 degrees too.

Re: It's snowing again

I just watched one of our oldest residents gritting and salting our paths, is it me or are young people lazier than we used to be at their ages because I can't imagine just letting an older man do a job like that without offering to help them when I was younger.

An attractive dusting of snow on the mountains here, but fortunately none at lower levels.

My advice is do not clear the public footpath outside your property. Why?
If someone slips and hurts themselves you could find yourself liable for causing the accident. Then it is solicitors courts and or compensation

Re: It's snowing again

I only noticed it was snowing here at about 20:00 but my wife said it'd been snowing an hour.

Worried about it all night and didn't sleep well either.

When I got up this morning I found we'd had a fair bit and I was dreading the 12-mile drive on country roads to work.

I left about 07:10 this morning, safely negotiated three un-gritted roads to work then, just as I turned into the last section the car sailed across the road and I ended up facing oncoming traffic.

Luckily there wasn't any but I was so relieved to make it that I did everything wrong on the very last junction!

Drove home even more careful this evening because the roads are full of displaced M1 traffic! stevmk2
