Re: Shingles vaccine.
Neither Tony nor myself got the shingles jab we went for this morning.
When we got there the queue of people spread right round the carpark. I would estimate I had 100 people in front of me. Tony took one look at the queue & decided not to bother. I decided to stick it out so I joined the queue & spent the next 35 minutes chatting to a woman in front of me.
Finally it was my turn - I went in the room - The clinician explained that it was a live vaccine & side effects are likely. She listed them which included tiredness, rash etc. Then she said they aren't suitable for people with auto immune illnesses. I said 'But I've got an auto immune illness - I've got PMR & take steroids for it every day' At that point she apologised & told me it best I don't have it then!
Oh well at least I got to post my letter of complaint about my fight with the receptionist yesterday!
