Was it like TinTin at the front?
I'm assuming that's what a swirl is

Re: Does you hair stick up?

In 2014/15 I was quite ill and I'm very ashamed to say that I ignored myself, and everything around me, and by Christmas 2015 my hair was down past my shoulders. I was invited to my sons for a family Christmas day and my ex wife couldn't resist plaiting my hair in a ponytail and managed to get 7 links of plait due to the long length. With the beard and moustache I looked like a pirate.

In the 50's 60's a favorite men's hair style was a D.A, as it stuck up at the back, and resembled the rear end of a Duck.

With Winkle Picker shoes it was very fetching indeed.

Re: Does you hair stick up?

As a child I had very unruly dark ginger hair and lots of freckles. I usually had a bit of hair sticking up at the back. As a result, my mum and dad started calling me Alfalfa - a child featured in Hal Roach's 1930s comedy shorts "Our Gang" (later called "Little Rascals") which they had seen weekly at Saturday Morning Pictures when they were kids. I didn't have a clue what they were talking about until the films started to be reshown in the 1960s. This was Alfalfa:

Don't know what Tin Tin's is like.

Gary's looked like a little whirlpool, of hair, all growing in a small circle on his front hairline. Like the crown further back, only he had another one at the front as well.

No. I can see I haven't lived!

I've heard of it, but never actually watched or read it.
