Teens calling things 'sick' when they mean to say 'impressive'. Ridiculous.

Being a new oldie on the block here, I dont know whether this has had an airing before, but what expressions that people come out with really gets your blood boiling, and are you guilty of any, A couple I hate are when people say "In all honesty, or to tell the truth", do they mean that every thing else they have said is a lie.

The latest 'in' word with schoolchildren at the moment appears to be "Cool" ........ my grandchildren include it in almost every sentence!

That's retro, apparently; cool was cool back in the 70s here; actually I'm slightly embarrassed to say I've never stopped using it ......

Oh, me too. Cool people still say 'cool' Eileen! You never hear 'groovy' anymore though.

Another phrase that's over-used is "With all due respect".

They swiped that from the 60s. I remember saying that back then, and my mother rolling her eyes when I did. lol.

Up here the in word seems to be respect, pronunced reeespect. My 2 along with other teens are always saying it. Now it's my turn to roll the eyes.
