Don't throw them away, Art!

You can set them up to control your family.

Press on = they wake up

Press Off - they shut up

Press left or right - they move.

Press up/down - they go to bed, get up!

Press stop - all arguments finish.

Just needs a bit of an implant.

So l challenge you all, how many remotes do you have in your homes?
Admittedly, some of mine are from units, l have thrown out!!

I only have 2 remote controls, as I have 2 televisions.........I would love to spend time being your personal organiser, Art.

Re: Right... So Who Can Beat This?

I used to have a remote controlled curtain track, and loved it. However, the power supply stopped working so when I had my lounge redecorated, the man took off the the device from the track and wall, and made good the holes before painting. I do miss it, (though it did stop working years ago and was put up when I first moved into the flat some 26 years ago), but here in the new house I have no need as I inherited shutters.

I think here in the front room I have three. Sky box, DVD player, and tv. There should be another one somewhere for the DVD/VHS player but I still need to reconnect that. The back room has the tv remote.

Upstairs in the spare rooms I have a load that need sorting out and quite possibly discarding. There is another tv up there, as yet unconnected.

Re: Right... So Who Can Beat This?

In the front room,
One for the telly and one for the Sky box, but since the latter works on the TV we only use the one.
One for the DVD player attached to the telly, but only gets used a couple of times per year.

In the kitchen,
One for the telly

In the garden room
One for each of the four separate sets of outside lights

In the loft conversion,
One for the electric combined heater and fan
One for the aircon unit

In the hall,
One for the garage door.

In each car,
One for the garage door

Re: Right... So Who Can Beat This?

I have two remotes, one for each telly. That is all I need or want.

Sometimes with just the two, I get confused and pick one up to speak, then wonder why the phone is still ringing.

Re: Right... So Who Can Beat This?

Remotes...hmm, let’s see...
One for the tv
One for the surround sound amp
One for the ps5, ( controller)
One for the fire
Sky tv controller ( although the tv remote has all the features so I don’t use it)
Three for the garage door, ( one kept in car)
One for socket outside for the water feature ( kept in the summerhouse)
Do I count the ones in sons bedroom?
Tv remote
Surround sound amp
Ps5 controller
I think that’s all

Mrs p has a large remote with STOP and MUTE, that she keeps pointing at me...I don’t know why..!
