Pixie, it sort of was related to the harvest festival celebrations in the old country when it started, and as it's so much further North the harvest was earlier in Canada ... probably why the earlier date.

Very similar ... haven't taken it out of its plastic dome in the freezer yet. I don't do the mid-day big meal, will eat at my usual 7 PM (witching hour in the UK

)
