I would never sell or remortgage the house and get into debt to risk it all on a company that might fail. So I'd have some sort of indemnity insurance or hedge in placeBut companies can and do go down if a key player ruins their reputation. Look at the "me too" campaign. Brands that are linked to a particular celebrity suffer if that celeb goes against the brand image.
