When I was having my new boiler fitted, I said to the fitter (who was in his twenties) to let me know when he wanted tea or coffee and I would make it for him. He replied: 'I don't drink tea and coffee, that's for the older generation'.

I guess I'm young compared with others on here.

But that's why I joined...to try and soak in some wisdom that others have with age, that and to have a good time and make new friends. I got tired of the puerile behaviour which can be found in abundance elswhere on the internet.

I agree but I think he meant as in tradesmen drinking lots of tea when doing a job. I didn't take offence though, he was nice guy.

When I had the plumbers in not long ago they didn't drink tea or coffee either. I think they just wanted to get the work done as quickly as they could.
