I usually wear one when I'm riding my bike at night - it makes me a lot more visible to drivers.
I also wear one in my volunteer job as a canal lock-keeper - really don't need one, but its elf & safety!

I think those jackets along with cycle helmets should be compulsory for all cyclists.

Not now, but used to have HVMV (High-visibility mini vest) when I worked for British Rail as it was sometimes necessary to go track-side along the walkways.

Hi

I have two Hi Viz vests in the car, compulsory when driving in some Countries, a good idea in my view if you breakdown at night.

I also have a disgustingly bright Hi Vis all in one flotation suit, incredibly warm, use it when sea fishing at night.

we have several Hi Viz coats mainly and vest ,

I wore one when i did a 24hr cycle Charity ride .

My dog Floyd has one, but then he's very fashionable, he also has a biker jacket and a tweed one.
There was an elderly woman in a high viz jacket, who was often seen walking her dog along the road at the top of the village, everyone knew of her.
Both her and her dog were killed by a van.

We used to have to wear hi viz jackets when I worked on an army base, it was so that the tanks could see us when they were moving them around.

They didn't need to worry I could hear them believe me I would get out of the way.
