Goldielocks, That was a very unfortunate name for a tiny animal! Did you shorten it?!!

Our Hamster was called Radial, it spent loads of time in It's wheel, it died before it could become Radialicised.

Re: Digging

Poor hamster, ours was called Hammy, we never got another, kids were too upset when he died. Then Son got ratties, they don't live long either, but they do make better pets than hamsters.
Back to the purpose of this thread, I agree with others, new members pick subject titles that suit them & never check the dates.

Re: Digging

I had three hamsters when I was a kid, not all at the same time though, and each of them I called "Twinkle." Always the same name.

I remember when one 'Twinkle' died, putting him in a little empty toffee box 'lantern' with see-through cellophane windows to bury him in the garden.
My horrid brother got so annoyed with me because I kept putting the little box in the hole he'd dug, then sobbing my heart out and lifting it back out again!

Pomp when we buried him alive accidentally we thought he was hibernating but found a little escape tunnel. We often stood and stared in memory plus a lollipop stick as a cross
