Tpin, we used have terrapins as kids, well my brother did anyway. He always liked snakes, lizards, fish and terrapins. I was always more dogs, donkeys and horses.
My ex husband was Terry.
In answer to your original question, no I have rarely needed to use my middle name for anything.
Does anyone who is sane except those who wear shell suits and have adopted from another country the liking for making up double-barreled Christian names.
It's bad enough having to use one awful name bestowed on us by our parents without using two .
On official forms I have to put my middle name. It also gets used frequently here in Spain, mostly on official letters, hospital appointments etc. Just as well really, they have a problem pronouncing my first name.
I use my middle & abbreviated first name on some forums, when I couldn't just use my first name, it must be a popular one.
Never liked my middle name as I knew someone with it, at school & couldn't stand her.
